Body in Liffey believed to be missing man.
The body of a young man believed to be that of missing UCD student was fished from the River Liffey.
A garda sub-aqua team retrieved the body. It was taken to the City Morgue where a post-mortem is to be conducted to determine the cause of death.
Foul play is not suspected and it’s believed that the student may have fallen into the river and drowned following a night out with friends.
Some say it was suicide, however gardai believe the popular, outgoing student may have accidentally slipped into the river after a night out that began at the student bar at UCD’s Belfield campus and continued on at Club M in Temple Bar where he had become separated from friends upon leaving the club in the early hours of the morning.
His tragic death is the second accident in as many weeks in which a young student apparently drowned after a night out with friends.
