Irish success at NY film festival
Eileen Walsh won the Best Actress award for her role in the Irish film ‘Eden’.
Walsh only discovered she had won the award when telephoned by Ryan Tubridy on ‘The Tubridy Show’ this morning.
‘Eden’, based on Eugene O’Brien’s play of the same name and directed by Declan Recks, received its premiere at this year’s Dublin International Film Festival.
It was broadcast on RTÉ One television on St Patrick’s Night, where it drew over 420,000 viewers.
